A Pocket-Guide to Cruelty-Free Shopping

Common to many avid cosmetics lovers, I have amassed a plethora of makeup items of a variety of brands and forms. I used to not give two shits about animal testing. At least until I saw a horrifying documentary that brainwashed me to vow never to use brands that conduct the testing on animals policies and procedures.

While the both of us have probably made that vow at least once, I have grown out of hoarding makeup for vapid, shallow reasons. I feel that everything people do has a voice: be it large, small, or nonexistent. We are always contributing to a variety of causes and social problems. In recent times, my desire to lessen my "footprint" on the fun road that is makeup has significantly affected my purchasing habits.

As a way to run as far away from "cruel" brands, I searched endlessly for such a list. I thought I would pass this on! Of course, this is not my list by any means! Credit is shown on the image, but this is the blog to which it belongs.
